How it works
Describe it
"A heavy, fast piece led by piano." That is enough — no musical terminology required.
Review the structure
You get a section-by-section plan with timings and instrumentation. Nothing is generated at this stage, and nothing is charged. Adjust it by chat until it is right.
Generate and finish
Generation happens only once the structure is settled. The result is trimmed to the exact competition length.
Settling the structure before generating is what separates this from other music generators. Rather than generating repeatedly and hoping for a good take, you design first and generate once.
For coaches: you can work on pieces for several gymnasts in parallel.

Why it runs on your account
Generation happens through ElevenLabs. Rather than gymusic generating on your behalf, it runs directly from your own account. That has two advantages.
- — No markup. You pay ElevenLabs what it costs; gymusic takes no commission.
- — The rights stay with you. Because generation runs on your account, the finished audio is yours.
Setup takes about three minutes. The steps are below.
A note for coaches and clubs
For your own or your child’s routine, the free plan is fine. However, the ElevenLabs free plan is limited to non-commercial use, so professional use — such as producing music for gymnasts you are paid to coach — requires a paid plan.
Paid plans start at $5/month (Starter). Across several gymnasts, that should not be a meaningful cost.
Getting an API key (3 minutes) +
- Go to ElevenLabs and create a free account
- Once signed in, issue an API key from your account settings
- Copy the key and paste it into the gymusic settings screen
Use a computer for this part. It is awkward on a phone. If you get stuck, get in touch and I will help you through it.

Who makes this
Daito Iwasaki — a former gymnast who competed at the Japan National Championships, and a musician releasing under the name “Daito”.
Cutting a track to 90 seconds is something anyone can do. But where the tumbling starts, where the gymnast catches her breath — without understanding how a routine is built, the music and the movement will not line up. gymusic is built from having done both.
gymusic is an AI generation tool. It is a place to work out structure and explore a direction.
For the music you actually compete with, I would be glad to take the commission. Fitting the music to a specific routine, and the finishing work, is done by hand.

Can I use this in competition? +
The output respects the regulation length and lyric conditions, but individual competitions apply their own detailed rules. Please confirm compliance yourself. If you send me the regulations, I will build to them.
Why do I need my own account? +
Because gymusic does not generate on your behalf — generation runs directly from your own account. There is no markup, and the rights to the result stay with you.
Can I do everything from a phone? +
Building a piece works on a phone, but creating an ElevenLabs account and issuing an API key is much easier on a computer. If you get stuck, contact me and I will help you through it.
Could someone else end up with the same piece? +
The same prompt produces a different piece each time. You also control structure, instrumentation and tempo, so an identical track will not reach anyone else.
Can I redo it if I am not happy? +
Planning and chat revisions are free, as often as you like. Regenerating the audio incurs the cost of that generation on your own account.
Can I use it commercially, for example coaching a club? +
gymusic itself places no restriction. However, the ElevenLabs free plan is limited to non-commercial use, so professional use requires a paid plan (from $5/month).
Can under-18s use it? +
Yes, though it involves creating an ElevenLabs account and bearing the cost of generation, so please do so with a guardian’s consent.
Who owns the music that gets generated? +
The rights to the finished audio belong to you. This does not vary by plan.
